Welcome to Mobio. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Mobio mobile application ("App") operated by Ikanisa ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
By accessing or using Mobio, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old and agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.
Mobio is a peer-to-peer mobility marketplace that connects passengers with independent drivers in Rwanda. The App provides:
Mobio acts as a marketplace platform only. We do not provide transportation services directly and are not a transportation carrier. All transportation is provided by independent drivers.
Mobio uses anonymous authentication. You are automatically assigned an anonymous account upon first use — no registration, email, or password is required. Your anonymous session provides a unique internal identifier used for data operations. You may optionally provide profile information (name, phone number) but this is never mandatory.

BioPay is an optional feature that uses on-device facial recognition technology to facilitate payments. By enrolling in BioPay, you acknowledge and agree that:
Mobio does not handle payment processing directly. All financial transactions between passengers and drivers occur outside the App through:
Mobio is not responsible for any payment disputes between users and drivers. We do not store payment credentials or process financial transactions on our servers.
Certain features require access to your device's location. Location data is used solely to show nearby drivers and calculate routes. You may revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings, though this may limit App functionality.
All content, designs, trademarks, logos, and software associated with Mobio are the property of Ikanisa and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
Mobio is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ikanisa shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Mobio, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ikanisa, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting the updated Terms in the App or on our website. Your continued use of Mobio after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Mobio at any time, without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, drivers, or Ikanisa.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Kigali, Rwanda.
